Valentines brings out an epic battle in me – I adore being spoilt, especially with flowers, and reminded that I am loved. But, I deplore being dictated to. And especially, that I should have everything in red  roses and only on one day of the year! So, I have started a quest to find other flowers that will still tell the receiver that they are special.

Victorian’s had intricate  meanings attached to flowers. Here are a few seasonal ones I found from a unique site called Victorian Bizaar :

I have incorporated some of these into designs to make unique Valentine wishes. And plan to play with more designs that have meanings – my husbands ‘geek speak’ is going to have nothing on my secret flower messages!
